Aircraft Description

This column gives a description of the type of aircraft. It is composed of a letter, a digit and a letter The first letter indicates the type of aircraft, the digit is the number of motors and the second letter indicates the type of engine. As is obvious from the descriptions below, the first letter will normally be L or H and the digit between 1 and 4 (it is unlikely that Geneva sees many seaplanes or gliders).

First letter :-

A = Amphibian
G = Gyrocopter
H = Helicopter
L = Landplane
S = Seaplane
T = Tilt-wing plane

Second letter (third character)

J = Jet
P = Piston
T = Turboprop

I have no idea how the solar-powered plane of Bertrand Picard will be described if it ever comes to Geneva!
