Airline owning the callsign

This column, if not blank, should indicate to which airline company the callsign belongs. However, it can also indicate that the callsign used is actually the registration of the aircraft, possibly followed by some extra characters. Such flights are almost always non-commercial flights, although it has occasionally been the case that a commercial aircraft has omitted to put in a proper callsign for a flight.

As explained in the help information for the Call Sign column, the callsign emitted by the aircraft transponder is not always correct and easy to identify. Thus, errors in this field are inevitable.
